Hello,

I've recently purchased a preorder of Guild Wars: Factions, and have added the Factions preorder access key to my account. However, there have been a few anomalies that I feel contribute to my not having the full benefit of this access:

-There are no special features mentioned in "manage access keys." I would assume that had my key been properly taken, the preorder items would be listed here.

-My preorder items DO appear, on newly created pvp or RP characters. HOWEVER, my current RP characters may not obtain the items. I have used /presale and /preorder in the cities of Lion's Arch and Ascalon with 2 free inventory slots and no success.

-My preorder insightful staff (ritualist item) does not give me the full benefit of its stats. I only gain 5 energy from equipping the item when I should be getting +15. Additionally, the staff's projectile is an arrow, and not a "darkness" projectile as indicated in the item's stats.

Thank you for any response that may help me fix these problems,

Back on 2/28 I went to Amazon to pre-order Factions. At the time the game was $39.99 but there was some confusion about the pre-order disc and key. A week later Amazon changed the item description saying that the pre-disc would be a seperate item and for me to get it I would have to cancel my existing order and order the game again with the pre-order disc. The problem is that now the game is selling for $49.99. So do I keep the sale as is or do I pay $10 more for the pre-disc?

I think you can just pay $1 for the pre-order disc on Amazon.com, just orde it with some other stuff so that you get the free shipping.

I managed to with a friend get screen shots of the 2 pre-order special items.

NOTE: both the items are blue, and you can get a copy of the 2 items for all of your characters by using the /preorder command. The weapons are all customized to the specific character.

Updated the "/preorder" command to provide Guild Wars Factions preorder items to those who have applied a Factions preorder key to their account.

O look for those who can't seem to get it to work.

The screenshot above of the assassin daggers looks a bit odd. Why would they put '15^50' instead of the normal 'Damage+15% (while Health is above 50%)'? Did you type those stats in for us? Or is that what the actual stats say?

Yes, he did. Other mistakes, they are not colored blue, and "Poisonous" is misspelled.

You also notice that the footprints don't line up and there is no inventory or any command to make stats show up in that manner. It's called cut and paste for the convienience of the viewer.

I got the items this morning, i wasnt impressed with the upgrades, til i realised you can upgrade them.
The spiritbinder doesnt come with a wrapping so i shoved a 16% pruning wrapping on it as a test and i was pretty suprised to see that i have now got myself a pruning dreamcatcher :P

Not sure about modding the daggers tho, they will probably need dagger upgrades.

quick question

i've got the items in my inventory now...if i sell them to a merchent can i get them back by typing /preorder?

oh and i too get only +5 ene from teh staff too

Sell them? You mean, they're worth gold?!? That should be fixed quick...

As for the +5 en, my understanding was you get the basic +10, but won't get the +5 until you have the appropriate reqs.

The other preorder items worked that way, so I assume these will as well.

You folks having trouble getting your pre-order items:

You can only get the items sent to your inventory by typing /preorder in a town or outpost. It does not work in a mission etc.

If you delete the items you can get them back anytime by typing /preorder.

They will be customised for the character you were logged onto when typing /preorder (you can do this for all your characters as many times as you like).

And of course you need to add the pre-order key to your account via the login screen as already described in this thread.

No you cannot sell these items to the merchant as someone mentioned, you have to delete them if you want to free up space.

edit: yeah I see most of the problems were answered above now.

Those daggers should've had a +5/+7 armor or +30hp. That rit staff is missing a suffix, safe to say that if thats all the preorder items, I'll probly not get it, not because I don't want to, I'd love to be able to play early, but having each char have 2 spaces taken up by these things in which you can't sell/drop or get rid of is mighty annoying. Its already tough having your 2nd set armor along w/ you, and diff sets of weapons, but having 2 extra weapons only usable by 2 diff classes simply make it very unappealing. How could they even have the face to give us such lousy preorder items after having been exposed to the japanese/korean preorders for chp1. Anets seriously needs to stop catering special attention to diff markets. US/EUR servers seem to be getting the shaft this time too.

You can delete a pre-order and still get it back on the same character later by using the /preorder command in a town.
